Inspired by long summer days spent swimming along the California coast, the Shell Seekers Bowl captures the magic of discovering treasures beneath the waves. Two hand-painted swimmers glide among golden seashells scattered across the interior of the bowl, while the exterior is wrapped in flowing ocean waters, creating a piece that feels like a glimpse into an underwater world.

This handcrafted large ceramic serving bowl (approximately 12 x 4 inches) is designed to be both functional and beautiful. Perfect for serving salads, pasta, fruit, or shared dishes, it also makes a striking centerpiece when displayed on a table, shelf, or kitchen counter.

Each bowl is individually hand-built and painted by me, Catherine Rex, in my California studio. Because every piece is made by hand and never printed, no two bowls are exactly alike. Subtle variations in brushwork, color, and form are part of what make each piece unique.
