A handmade and hand-painted Custom Oyster Plate created to commemorate life’s most meaningful occasions — from weddings and anniversaries to unforgettable celebrations. Each plate is crafted from stoneware, fired multiple times in the kiln, and finished with hand-illustrated details that make it truly one of a kind.

Customization Options

Classic Inscription: Perfect for weddings, anniversaries, or milestones. Add a simple inscription such as names, dates, or a short phrase. These can be placed around the top edge of the plate or on the bottom for a subtle touch.

Storytelling Details (3–7 Elements): For a more elaborate commemoration, add up to seven personalized illustrations — like a house, sailboat, fish, or symbols that capture the couple’s story. This transforms the plate into a narrative heirloom, weaving meaningful details into the design. (See the blue oyster plate in my product photos for an example.)

Timeline & Process

Custom oyster plates take approximately 8–10 weeks to complete. After placing your order, please email me at catherine@rexdesign.co with the details you’d like customized. From there, I’ll bring your vision to life in clay, glaze, and luster.

This platter is hand built and painted by me, Catherine Rex. Since each piece is handmade and never printed, every piece is one to a kind. due to the nature of throwing and glazing, ceramics may vary in size and design.
